Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! This is the first day of your 10 day Morocco itinerary. A warm welcome awaits you at our first meeting, either at the airport or at your accommodation. Your tour begins with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, a beautiful masterpiece built right over the Atlantic Ocean. After that, enjoy a relaxing walk along the Ain Diab Corniche to feel the sea breeze and the local Moroccan atmosphere. At the end of the day, your driver will drop you off at your accommodation in Casablanca to rest and relax.

On the second day, your journey continues to Rabat, the capital city. Here, you will visit the historic Hassan Tower and the beautiful Oudaya Kasbah overlooking the sea.

In the afternoon, you will travel north through the scenic Rif Mountains to reach the famous “Blue City,” Chefchaouen. You can spend your evening walking through its dreamy, blue-painted streets. You will visit the ancient Medina, which is one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world, where you will spend your morning walking through narrow streets filled with the scent of spices and the sounds of local craftsmen.

Your tour will continue with visits to famous historical landmarks, including the traditional Tanneries to see how leather is made, the ancient Al-Qarawiyyin University, and the Bou Inania Madrasa, known for its stunning wood carvings and zellij tilework. The guide will provide a detailed explanation of the history of these cultural treasures.

After a tasty breakfast at the camp, your adventure begins. You will first visit a Nomadic family living in traditional tents to see how they live in the desert and share a cup of hot mint tea with them.

Next, you will travel to the Mifis mines, an old place where people used to find minerals and kohl. On the way, you will cross the famous Dakar Rally track, where the world’s most famous desert race used to pass. Then, you will visit Khamliya village to listen to Gnawa music. The local people will play drums and sing traditional songs that have a very special rhythm.

For lunch, you will try a famous local dish called Madfouna (Berber Pizza), which is bread filled with meat and spices and baked in a clay oven. After lunch, you can take a quiet walk through the palm groves of Merzouga. You will see how the local farmers grow food in the desert using ancient water systems to keep the gardens green.

To finish your day, you will return to your desert camp or hotel to relax. You can climb the high dunes to watch the sunset or just enjoy the peaceful silence of the Sahara. In the evening, you will have a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, followed by music and stories around a campfire.

 

 

 Today, you will leave the desert and travel to the town of Rissani. This town was a very important place for traders in the past. You will have time to walk through its famous traditional market (Souk). Here, you can see how local people buy and sell spices, clothes, and many other things. It is one of the most interesting and real markets in Morocco.

Next, you will travel to the Todra Gorges. These are very tall rock walls that rise 300 meters high. You can take a relaxing walk along the river at the bottom of the canyon. The air is cool, and the views are beautiful, which makes it a great place to take photos. It is an amazing spot to see the power of nature in the mountains.

Finally, you will drive to the Dades Valley. On the way, you will see many old mud-brick buildings and strange rock formations called “Monkey Fingers.” To finish your day, you will arrive at your hotel in the Dades Valley. You will enjoy a warm dinner and have a quiet night’s sleep near the river.
